Septic inspection and locating services

Septic Inspection & Locating

A septic inspection can be combined with locating key system components when the property, access and site conditions allow. We confirm the scope before the appointment because septic systems vary and some components may be buried, concealed or inaccessible.

Inspection scope

What we look at

  • Available records, property information and visible site clues
  • Location of the tank, access points and drain field when they can be reasonably identified
  • Visible and accessible septic components within the agreed inspection scope
  • Basic operation observations when conditions and access allow
  • Access limitations and areas that could not be inspected

What you receive

You receive a clear report with visible observations, location notes and supporting photos when useful. Septic inspection and locating do not include pumping, excavation or an invasive evaluation unless a separate service is specifically arranged.

Common questions

Before you schedule

What is included in a septic inspection?

The agreed scope covers visible and accessible septic components, site conditions and basic operation observations when access and conditions allow. We confirm the exact scope before the appointment.

Are septic locating services available?

Yes. Locating the tank, access points and drain field is a main part of this service when those components can be reasonably identified from records, site clues and accessible conditions.

Is this the same as pumping or an invasive evaluation?

No. Pumping, excavation and invasive testing are separate services unless specifically arranged before the appointment.

Can it be added to a home inspection?

Often, yes. Availability depends on the property, access and appointment schedule.
